2009 Nissan Quest- Overview

2009 Nissan Quest | Overview

Nissan Quest continues as the most original and distinctive minivan in the market. And it is still one of the most spacious minivans in its segment. Quest has gone through a major redesign for the year 2007. Thus, changes for 2009 are minimal, with an addition of new automatic door locks and a new exterior paint color, Tuscan Sun. The 2009 Nissan Quest comes in four fabulous models, such as 3.5, 3.5 S, 3.5 SL and 3.5 SE.

2009 Nissan Quest's Exterior Look

The exterior of the 2009 Nissan Quest sports a contemporary body design. The vehicle is 204.1 inches long and 77.6-inch wide and it is marked by a strong shoulder that adds dimension to the sides of the body. Quest has an arching roofline off the A-pillar, well-defined wheel forms with a minimal gap between the tire sidewalls. The exterior also features Nissan-signature grille; standard privacy glass on second-row, third-row windows, as well as liftgate window; angular front bumper fascia that offer a bold, aggressive stance from the front. Quest's door handles are chrome, and the roof rack features a satin-look finish. And not to forget, Tuscan Sun is the new exterior color that is offered for 2009 Nissan Quest. Optional exterior features include, power sliding doors and automatic headlamps.

2009 Nissan Quest's Spacious Interior

The 2009 Nissan Quest accommodates up to seven people and it has bucket seats, that feature a furniture-style design. The interior provides an overall volume of 211.6 cubic feet, one of the largest interior volumes of any minivan. Quest is equipped with innovative technology instrument panel features such as, an advanced Human Machine Interface (HMI) design, dual-zone HVAC controls (3.5 SL and 3.5 SE models) and an available DVD-based Nissan Navigation System with 7.0-inch color display. A unique highlight of the 2009 Quest interior is the SkyView™ glass-paneled roof, which is standard on 3.5 SE models only, that utilizes roof-mounted glass panels for the second-row seats as well as third -row seats. An available RearView Monitor system is standard on 3.5 SE and 3.5 SL, that utilizes a small camera mounted near the rear license plate. The camera projects a view of what's directly behind the vehicle to the “Vehicle Information Center” display screen.

Under the Hood

The Quest comes in front-wheel-drive format only, and so is to the model of 2009. Every 2009 Quest is equipped with a standard 235-horsepower, 3.5-liter V-6 engine, that features Continuous Variable Valve Timing Control System (CVTCS), microfinished crankshaft and camshaft, molybdenum-coated pistons and sequential multipoint electronic fuel injection. The engine is geared up with a standard 5-speed electrically controlled automatic transmission. A Traction Control System is standard on all models, but Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC) is standard on the 3.5 SE model only. At the handling and ride front, Quest utilizes Nissan's advanced FF-L (Front engine, Front-wheel drive, Large) platform. The 2009 Quest features a 4-wheel independent suspension with a rear multi-link design and front/rear stabilizer bars. Power-assisted rack-and-pinion steering, 4-wheel vented disc brakes with Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Brake Assist (BA) and Electronic Brake force Distribution (EBD) are some more standard features in the new Quest.

Safety

It's apparent from the responsive engine, suspension and braking technologies, that Nissan has given its utmost focus on active safety in the 2009 Quest, as well as passive safety through a comprehensive set of passive restraint systems. Standard 2009 Nissan Quest safety equipment includes, the Nissan Advanced Air Bag System (AABS); dual-stage supplemental front air bags; side-impact and side curtain airbags; antilock braking system with brake assist; electronic stability and traction control; 3-point seat belts and height-adjustable head restraints for all seating positions; front seat Active Head Restraints; LATCH System (Lower Anchors and Tether for Children); Vehicle Security System (VSS) and many more.
